Greetings AU Fans and War Eagle!!!

Delta Chapter of Alpha Phi Omega is conducting this fundraiser project for a two fold purpose: to provide the Auburn Family an opportunity to own part of the War Eagle Mascot Program history; and to raise funds for the express purpose of benefiting the Auburn University Campus and Community.

Following the close of Alpha Phi Omega's service to the War Eagle Mascot Program in 2000 the chapter sought to regain use of the Aviary space and revitalize the image and history of the War Eagle Program. Prior to the summer of 2006, Delta Chapter used funds from this project to support the War Eagle Gardens. The Gardens, located then in the A.E. Hamer, Jr. Memorial Aviary was a place to memorialize the history of the War Eagle Mascot Program and provide a place on campus for students, faculty, administration and the like to relax during the day and a place for alumni to congregate during game weekends. Due to the construction of the new student union, the former eagle's cage and War Eagle Gardens has relinquished its location for the development of Auburn University's campus.

As part of this fundraising project, Delta chapter has made arrangements for the issuance of only 1000 of these plaques. The chapter is currently in discussions regarding the use of these funds; two proposed concepts being considered by the chapter and University Administration are the placement of a marker within or around the new student union locating the site of the former aviary, and a monument located near the student union with the Auburn Creed enscribed to promote the spirit of Auburn University. The funds raised from this project shall solely be used through an appropriate manner for the benefit of Auburn University's campus to further the development of the Auburn Family.

The cost of each plaque has been set at $120. An additional cost of $15 shall be assessed for shipping and handling and shall apply to anywhere in the continuous 48 states. Payment may be made by credit card or cashier's check, money order or certified check. We encourage the use of paypal to ensure payment is received and prompt delivery of your piece of the Auburn University War Eagle Mascot Program history.

Each matt finish framed plaque holds clippings of the cage wire, a certified picture of War Eagle VI, an Auburn University medalion and comes with a letter of authenticity depicting the history of the A. E. Hamer, Jr. Memorial Aviary from 1973 to 2003, its vital contribution to the War Eagle Mascot Program and includes the history of its residents War Eagle's IV, V & VI.
